We awaited this book with anticipation ever since the idea was shared by Zach Roberts and Jason Weingart. We were not disappointed, and knew it would be worth the wait. The heft of this book gives a clue as to the value of the information within. This is an exceptionally well detailed book that teaches you about severe weather, what it looks like, how it builds, how it acts, and how to identify it. The exquisite photography, high quality overlays, and understandable captions all teach you in an enjoyable way, without even realizing it, that you are getting a top quality education in severe weather. It is a must have for any lover of quality severe weather photography, armchair meteorologist, or anyone with an interest in weather or storm chasing. I highly recommend it for weather lovers of all ages, and I would buy it again.

I love this book and it is long overdue in this writing format! There are so many beautiful pictures so you can really see how these dangerous weather scenarios occur and the explanations are fantastic! I live in Tennessee so we do not storm chase here unless we have a death wish because of the hills. You can't see what's coming. But I am a storm spotter which means during times of severe weather we spotters have suspended our daily chores for sky watching and radar watching and reporting to the NWS if we see something so they can warn others. I am also a ham radio operator so we link up to collect our information via repeater stations to get the word out. This book explains in detail how these things occur making it easy for us to spot things earlier than we could have before. Knowledge is power and Zach Roberts and Jason Weingart have given us more power than we had before! Thanks for a great tool you guys!
