The tornado itself was only about 1/2 of a mile from me at this point. As we backed away from it a minute later it was no less then 100 yards from our vehicle.

If you flip the image upside down, it looks like ocean waves in a storm. One of my personal favorites. Settings: ISO 100, F/7.1, 10 second shutter speed.

Well, hopefully everyone because it did! June 12th, 2013 Ashley, Ohio. Probably a once in 10 year supercell for Ohio! Sadly for chasers it didn't produce a tornado, but a good thing because this wall cloud eventually went right over Ashley.

You can tell how close we were but the vehicles also add another reference point of being able to tell even more how close we were to this beauty.Campo Colorado Tornado May 31st 2010 I love this one. 5/19/2012 in west-central OK (near Hobart?). The most amazing display of mammatus I have ever seen, and having them lit up by lightning made it even better.

Krista Giese

May 27, 2012 in Norfolk, NE. This was one of the greenest storms I have seen, although this picture doesn't show it.

Well since everyone is adding photos from April 14, 2012. I will add one of mine! This was one of many tornadoes on this day near Salinas, Kansas.

Congrats Everyone!
