It was an amazing sight to see, considering on radar it did not look that impressive. As always I hope you guys enjoy!!!

This is hand-held, single frame, Canon 5DMkIII 24-105 F/4L @40mm, 1/30th, f/11, ISO800.  I ran outside to shoot an amazing sunset and just happened to be ready to click when I saw the flash of lightning. This is a one in a million shot, that I don't think I'll ever top. I've got more shots from Friday I look forward to sharing, but none of them as good as this one.  *Color, contrast and clarity tweaked in LR6.

This storm caused extensive damage and destroyed at least 2 farm homes.. and also blew a semi trailer truck off the road. It was around the time of day when there was only the smallest amount light left in the sky... so this photo is a slightly grainy high ISO 5 second shot just to let some light in to try and show some of the structure.

Taken from my farm right before the storm on Monday. The same storm that turned Quincy IL into a state of emergency. 20,000 people without Power, and some still out as of today.

This was taken as descent began over PA into Newark NJ a couple weeks ago. I looked out the window and saw this glowing effect. The sun it seems is either reflecting beneath the clouds or displaying some sort of prism. I've never seen this before. Explanations are welcome. Thanks!
