Strong/Severe Storms Possible Monday 3/6/17
Based on the latest model guidance, strong to severe storms appear possible on Monday 3/6/17 across portions of the plains. The primary threat will be damaging wind. However, large hail and isolated tornadoes will also be a threat in far southeast KS, southwest MO, northeast OK and northwest AR with any isolated storms that develop out ahead of a southeast moving cold front along a dryline in the area.
Storms will likely initially develop along the cold front during the mid to late afternoon hours. Additional isolated storms may develop ahead of the cold front near near the dryline during the late afternoon or early evening hours with the severe threat continuing well after dark in the area.
Please remain weather aware and keep an eye on official forecast information and warnings from the NWS tomorrow afternoon and evening. - Jeremy Den Hartog
